Necklace made of the skeleton Hortensia

This handmade necklace is made with a real dried hydrangea flower, which was picked during the winter months. Since blooming, the flowers have transformed into beautiful brown, skeleton-like flowers where you can clearly see the veins of the flower, hence the name skeleton flower. The pendant itself is made of silver-plated brass, both nickel and lead free, which makes it hypoallergenic and the chain as well.

All pendants come with a 45 cm long chain. Would you like a different length? Please contact me when ordering, and I will customize the chain to your wishes.

Resin is used as a protective material to encapsulate the preserved flower petals, which helps preserve and enhance the vibrant colors. I often say that resin acts as an artificial coda, where flowers and other natural materials are cast into a glass-like end result.
