Take care of your new jewelry

Every piece of jewelry I create is a piece of nature – preserved to last for many years to come. I use resin to encapsulate the natural materials I work with, which acts as an artificial resin – a protective layer that enhances the colors and gives a glass-like, durable result. However, since the jewelry is created with natural materials, I cannot guarantee exactly how long the colors will last, as flowers and leaves can be somewhat unpredictable to work with. The colors may vary depending on the properties of the material and how the jewelry is used and stored. However, after several years of experience creating resin jewelry, I have learned which plants stand the test of time the best. Jewelry I created five years ago still has strong colors, which shows that it can remain beautiful for many years to come.

To preserve the beauty and durability of your new jewelry for as long as possible, please follow these care instructions:

Avoid direct sunlight – Prolonged exposure to the sun can cause the flowers to fade and the resin to yellow over time. Store the jewelry in a dark, cool place when not in use.

Keep it dry – Avoid letting the jewelry come into contact with water, perfume, lotion or cleaning products, as these can affect both the clarity of the resin and the color of the flowers. It is fine to quickly wash your hands while wearing the jewelry, but avoid exposing it to water for an extended period of time, such as when showering, bathing or washing dishes.

Handle with care – Resin is a strong yet delicate material. Protect your jewelry from hard knocks and scratches by storing it in a soft bag or box.

Cleaning – If the jewelry gets dirty, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

That said, the care instructions are here to help, not create stress – your jewelry is primarily meant to be worn, loved, and spread joy for many years to come.
