Necklace made with genuine Beard Lichen

Beautiful necklaces in silver and gold made with green beard lichen that was carefully picked from the forest by my little cabin. The pendant, which is 20mm, is made of high quality silver/gold plated brass and is completely free of nickel and lead, making it hypoallergenic - as is the chain.

Beard lichen grows slowly on old trees in pristine forests and has therefore become a symbol of patience, the quiet rhythm of nature and ancient wisdom. In Nordic and Celtic folklore it is often associated with trolls, forest spirits and shamans. With its long, beard-like appearance it has given life to the image of the forest's guardian of wisdom in fairy tales and legends.
